* overview of site engineering, design, and preparation
* Basestation component details
* site design considerations
* I&C PC tools
* antenna power and cable determination
* cable and antenna sweeps
* physical installation of components
* Basestation communications with Broadband Wireless Gateway (BWG), Element Management System (EMS), and Subscriber Stations (SS)
* calibration and calibration verification tests
* drive studies to determine coverage
* file transfer tests to determine data throughput

Prerequisites:

When the MSS802 and MSS110 Basics courses become available, candidate students for 352Q are encouraged to complete these two courses and their associated exams. Students will be tested on the first morning of 352Q for their basic knowledge of RF and Networking terms and concepts.

This Installation & Commissioning course and exam prepare and test the technician’s readiness for assignment to deploy Cisco WiMAX Profile C cell site equipment. Cisco-recommended procedures, processes, and forms are practiced and used throughout the week. Individuals are tested on the last day. Content is covered by lecture, documentation, software CDs, & equipment, with numerous review questions, lab practices, and free lab time for reinforcement of learning throughout the week.
