Overview:
This two-hour hands-on instructor-led lab provides students with experience in using Microsoft Hyper-V to create and manage virtual machines and to query virtual information using the WMI provider. This course is delivered in-conjunction with course 6410 - First Look at Getting Started with Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V
Note: Participants wishing to book on this course are encouraged to also book on course 6410 - First Look at Getting Started with Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V.
Audience:
This lab is intended for IT professionals who would like to become familiar with managing virtual machines using Microsoft Hyper-V. You will begin by exploring the Microsoft Windows Virtualization Management tool and administering virtual machines. You will then work with a running virtual machine. Finally, you will use Windows PowerShell to query virtual machine information using the WMI provider.
  After completing this course, students will be able to:

• Create and manage virtual machines
• Query virtual machine information using Microsoft Windows PowerShell
Prerequisites:

• IT Professionals skilled on the technologies included in Windows Server 2000 and Windows Server 2003
• Experience with Virtual Server 2005 or Virtual PC 2004/2007
